Who We Are

The Nassau Community Band has been in existence for over 20 years, providing traditional instrumental concert band music to our local community. Our goal is to provide beautiful and exciting live music to residents of Nassau County Florida. The band performs public concerts to expose music to enrich the lives of residents of all ages and backgrounds. We commit to a minimum of 4 concerts a year in our community of Nassau County, Florida to include: Halloween, Christmas, Easter and 4th of July. The concerts are always free and are held in public places such as churches, auditoriums, retirement homes and outside town squares. The band is comprised of volunteer musicians from all backgrounds, abilities, and ages from high school, to college students, to working and retired adults. Our band members “pay to play” to help buy our music and to continue their instrumental passion. Our musicians travel from as far as Jacksonville, Callahan and Kingsland, Georgia. We average around 65 members.
